​Marina Márquez is a Manager at Cleveland Public Library activating The People’s University, a people-driven, community-powered learning experience. Marina has dedicated the past 10 years at Cleveland Public Library implementing a framework that supports programs and services that are people picked, hands-on, and community powered.

​In partnership with the Mayor of Cleveland Marina is planning and executing engagement efforts to support the citywide reading campaign for Cleveland residents to read millions of books. Marina is a member of American Library Association’s Sustainable Round Table; she serves on the board of  The Hummingbird Project; and is a member of Cleveland Public Library’s Design Thinking Committee and the Hispanic Latinx ERG Committee. She loves libraries, is an advocate for children’s rights, enjoys sculpting monumental puppets for parades, and in her spare time is a  graffiti gardener. Marina's educational background is rooted in art education, sustainability, and urban planning.
